Isaac Lucas, a.k.a. Relaye, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. Born in the Midwest, raised in the Northwest, he has been involved with music his entire life. Starting from an early age as a poet and instrumentalist, he got into producing and songwriting as an upperclassman in high school, but it wasn’t until he moved to Los Angeles to attend college that it was apparent music was more than just a hobby.

Relaye grew up listening to and playing music spanning a multitude

of genres including Reggae, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Soul, and of course Hip-Hop. Some of his greatest inspirations in the latter genre include OutKast, Dr. Dre, Nelly, and Spearhead among others, while his sound is more influenced by the likes of Childish Gambino, Tech N9ne, Big Sean, and J. Cole. Over the past few years Relaye has been honing his skills as an MC and producer, in attempts to create

a Hip-Hop sound that incorporates several musical styles and genres, and defies any traditional label.

Relaye will be releasing a new song every week during the year of 2016 as part of his new years resolution. In addition, he is currently working on his debut full-length album, “9 to 5”, which is slated for a Spring release. The goal of Relaye's first Album is to give his audience something different, something fun, and something undeniably dope, showcasing the many modes of Hip-Hop and R&B he is capable of producing both lyrically and instrumentally in effort to pay homage to the variety of music he grew up listening to, and show listeners why they should be tuned in. Much of his released music, as well as his music to be released has been produced by Relaye himself, who has written and produced music for several other artists as well.
